Welcome to Western Gateway Dog Park

​

If you live in the Penn Valley area you probably know that we are the only off-leash dog park serving local residents and their pets. Although we are located on Western Gateway Park property, we operate as a separate non-profit corporation with an all volunteer board.  We receive free dog waste bags through the Western Gateway Park Foundation, but we receive no monetary funding through county taxes which are currently assessed at almost $13.00 per parcel for operating the entire park. That is why it is so important that annual memberships and donations are made directly to the dog park to keep it in top condition and enjoyable for everyone.

Our secluded two acre dog park is fully fenced with water, shade and seating in all four of the exercise yards as well as the oak grove, providing a safe and inviting place where well-behaved dogs can play. (The yards have a clean crushed sand base whereas the natural oak grove section is dirt and includes hills and tire structures for dogs who really like to run and climb.)

All areas of the dog park are ADA compliant and easily accessible. There is an on-site restroom facility and plenty of parking. Yard and oak grove rentals are available for classes, events, and parties.
